EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has addressed his shocking exit from the show.
The actor, who plays Freddie Slater, first arrived in Walford in 2022 as the grown up son of Little Mo.
Freddie was eager to reunite with his extended family and formed fast friendships on the Square thanks to his charming and positive personality. The loveable character was at the centre of a number of storylines, including the discovery of his biological father and his ADHD diagnosis.
Last month, it was announced that Brazier would be leaving the soap after three years in the role.

A show spokesperson told us: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Speaking on the red carpet at the National Film Awards (via Plymouth Live), Brazier broke his silence on Freddie’s upcoming departure, confirming that “he’s off”.

He shared his “mixed feelings” about leaving the soap, explaining: “EastEnders has been my first sort of real job and I’ve learned a lot there.
“It feels like home and there is really a family sort of feeling amongst the cast and everyone else, so I will miss it and I’m very grateful for those three years.”
“But, with that being said, I think variety is important,” he added.
The actor will reportedly film his final scenes later this year, before exploring other opportunities away from the show.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
